Lisbon Fire Department Monument

Fergus Falls Monument Co. in Fergus Falls Minnesota contacted me last summer about licensing my drawing for a monument etching. I have been informed recently that the monument for the Lisbon Fire Department in North Dakota is finished, and you can see it in the photo displayed above. [Thanks to Ryan Welle of FFMC]

For a comparison I have posted my original drawing below. The reproduction on the monument is impressive to say the least.

My T-Shirt Design for Springfield Victory Mission's 25th Annual Back to School!

I created this design for Springfield Victory Mission's 25th Annual Back to School event. The logo and Crayon Illustrations were hand drawn and finished in Illustrator and Photoshop (although some fonts were used for "Springfield Victory Mission's" and "25th Annual" which I cannot remember the names of at this moment). Recently, I was surprised to see my t-shirt all over the news last month!

It was really nice to see.

The Following Pictures are from the News-Leader article, and you can read more about the event there.

Website is Live!

[6/6]: I figured out why my naked domain didn't link back to my site thanks to Nitecruzr. Found a fix for the favicon issue thanks to Dear Silly Blog . I need to give additional thanks to all of the awesome places on the web that have helped me build my new website. I couldn't have built a site at all without Silvia Liu Land and all of the awesome Blogger tutorials. Same goes for Confluent Forms which provided the Boy Burns Blog template on which the site is based. And finally, I want to thank Blogger/Google for providing this blog in the first place.

[6/4]: DNS changes have kicked in and the site is displaying properly, but it's taking forever for the favicon to display. C'MON FAVICON, LET'S GO ALREADY!

[6/1]: Right now, I'm waiting for the DNS changes to kick in. I'm hoping it does without any problems. Currently, the blogger address of my new site redirects to my old site that is under my domain name. I'm crossing my fingers that this changes without incident in the next day or so.

[5/31]:The new site is completely finished and ready to go. The only thing left is adding the domain, which will be done as soon as my old site's hosting expires tomorrow.

Some interesting things to look at are the custom social media icons that I made, that are sitting to the left. I was going for an irregular splattery look.

Rebuilding Website (7christian.com)

I am in the process of redesigning my website, choosing Blogger as my new host. The website's name will remain the same (7christian.com), but I will be using Confluent Form's BoyBurnsBlog template as a basis for this new design.

As a result of all this, I have had to move my blog over to another blogger address, which means I have re-uploaded some of my previous posts (not all of them though--too much work). So, what you see here are some of what I feel are my most relevant posts from the last few years.

Although the old site is still up under my domain name, it will be gone in a few days. Say goodbye! I designed that one around nine years ago in Dreamweaver, and you can tell because the overall design seems to be way too small for today's screen resolutions. I feel a little sad though--like I'm sending an old friend off to pasture.

To anybody out there in internet land (who actually cares)--watch this space for future updates.

Regal Ceylon Tea Illustration

[Originally posted on Friday, August 17 2012]

I was hired by GVP (Geno Valloni) to create this illustration for Regal Ceylon Tea. I rendered everything in Photoshop. This is an alternate image to the ones I have displayed on my site. The typography and graphic design is by GVP.
